More photos from Dark Lord Day 2010 at the Three Floyds Brewery in Munster, Indiana. I especially like the barrels, mmm bourbon barrel beers… I have more shots of these including close-ups but I have yet to download them off my phone. Also notice the banner for blackheart in the last set which I heard is the logo on the new bottles that just showed up in town this past week.
Dark Lord Day 2010 photos, finally got around to getting these off my camera and putting them up here. I think this weekend I am finally going to open a bottle of this years batch so I’ll have a review up here when I do.
If you’ve followed the beer world online for any time or if your a hardened veteran of the summer beer fest scene then most of these tips are probably just review for the big game, but alot of this stuff is good to keep in mind. My golden rule for any beer event “Dont be an Ass!” if people just kept that one in mind so much would work better….

This was definately worth the wait all the way to the bitter end of the day! The sound quality on this video isn’t stellar but you can see my ugly mug in the crowd at one point. I’ll post more from DLD2010 sometime in the next few days.
Some criticism and thoughts on dark lord day, begs the question is dark lord day to much of a monster for its own good now? I don’t agree with all of it but it does bring up some good points.

A site put together by the fine people at the Brewers Association, craftbeer.com is a great site with all sorts of great information, I haven’t had time to even begin to wade through it all but you can find everything from food pairing tips to tips to find craft beer in your area to general history and education about beer! Definately worth taking the time to look through and bookmark for later reference.
Stumbled upon this video of a case of Keystone Light being catapulted at the Dogfish Head Brewery, very fitting for a brewery that named a beer in honor of the world famous punkin chunkin contest which takes place in their neck of the woods each fall.
